On the 1st, new employees of Japan Airlines (JAL) Group are flying paper airplanes in a hangar at Tokyo's Haneda Airport to celebrate joining the company. Japan has been in a state of de facto "full employment" for five years, where most people with the will and ability to work can find jobs. According to data released by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the employment rate for Japanese university graduates last year was 98.1%.
