School meals posing ‘worrying’ health risks, charity warns

Schools must do more to support children’s long-term health by reducing the quantity of processed meat served at mealtimes, charity says.

The Spanish Federation of Nutrition, Food and Dietary Societies (FESNAD) has announced on Wednesday the results of a survey to know the opinion that is held about food processing. The sample, the entity admits, reveals that there is a great disinformation about it. In fact, a "highlight" 86% of the population considers that there is confusion about what is really a processed food, and its different degrees, and also about its impact on health.

The Spanish Federation of Nutrition, Food and Dietary Societies (Fesnad) has celebrated the day Processing safety, sustainability and health on the occasion of the National and World Nutrition Day, which are commemorated this Thursday.
