77 Maoists surrendered before Odisha Police since January 2025: DGP

Odisha's Director General of Police YB Khurania reported a significant number of Maoist surrenders. Seventy-seven Maoists laid down arms in Odisha and twenty-three in neighboring Chhattisgarh from January 2025 to March this year. Security forces also neutralized twenty-seven Maoists in encounters. A small Maoist group remains active in border regions.
