7 players to miss Everton vs Newcastle as Jaissle refuses to conirm duo's return
Matthias Jaissle said the pair remain doubts as Newcastle manage an injury list that could sideline up to nine players.
- Newcastle United fell 3-1 to Everton in the Carabao Cup on Thursday, with the Magpies preparing to host Everton manager David Moyes' side for a Premier League rematch at St James' Park on Monday.
- Manager Matthias Jaissle faces a lengthy injury list heading into the busy week, with absences making training feel like pre-season despite the team being four months into the season.
- Midfielder Lewis Miley and forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo remain doubts for Monday, while striker William Osula is a concern after twisting his ankle on Thursday, Jaissle confirmed.
- Jaissle described the defensive errors as 'shocking,' citing the team's lack of a clinical approach in critical moments as the defining story of their season so far.
- Defender Tino Livramento and goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen remain sidelined with long-term injuries, with Jaouen expected to be unavailable until December as the squad manages its depth.
