TOYOTA GAZOO Racing faced mixed conditions in Italy during the first practice sessions for the 6 Hours of Imola, the second round of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season.

Robert Kubica was not to beat in the first free practice of the sports car World Championship (FIA WEC) in Imola. In the Ferrari 499P he was ahead of brand colleague Antonio Fuoco in the factory 499P. BMW with best time in the LMGT3 class.

Kubica tops opening Imola WEC practice

The FIA World Endurance Championship’s Imola weekend got underway with Ferrari topping Free Practice 1. Robert Kubica ran fastest in the No. 83 499P with a last-gasp flyer at the end of the 90-minute session. The Polish driver’s time was a 1m32.065s, which dethroned the No. 50 factory Ferrari that finished with a best lap of 1m32.301s from Antonio Fuoco.
