PARAMARIBO — K.K.D. has been taken into custody by the police on charges including attempted manslaughter and violation of the Firearms Act. The Suriname Police Force (KPS) reports on its website that the 57-year-old man hit 41-year-old P.K. on Saturday morning between 2:00 and 2:30 a.m. When the man, who had fallen, tried to get up, K.K.D. pulled out a firearm and shot P.K. in the chest.
