Monastery opens as 5 star hotel

Part of the Arouca Monastery building opens to the public today as a 5-star hotel following an investment of around 10 million euros, according to the hotel group responsible for the requalification of the building, which has been classified as a National Monument since 1910.

Currently, in parallel with the new hotel, the building continues to house the activities of the Arouca Sacred Art Museum, the D. Domingos de Pinho Brando Memorial Library, and the São Bartolomeu Church.

The MS Collection Mosteiro de Arouca emerges in a context of appreciation of the territory, located in a region with international recognition as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
