Heavy rainfall has caused a tragic incident in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. In Habibpur village, under the Fugana police station area, the roof of a mud house suddenly collapsed due to continuous rain. The collapse buried several members of a family under the debris, resulting in the deaths of five people from the same family. Local police and administrative officials quickly reached the site and launched a rescue operation. With the help of a JCB machine, the debris was cleared, but the five victims could not be saved. Two other family members who were injured in the incident were rescued and shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The tragic accident has highlighted the dangers posed by persistent heavy rainfall and weak housing structures in rural areas.
