Klapka, Stromgren Supply Flames’ Offence to Back Wolf in 2-1 Win over Sharks
- On Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, the Calgary Flames defeated the San Jose Sharks 2-1 at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. Fourth-line wingers Adam Klapka and William Stromgren scored, while goaltender Dustin Wolf recorded 26 saves.
- With a 10-2-0 career record against the Sharks, Wolf was the coaching staff's clear choice. His 2.08 goals-against average and.919 save percentage against San Jose provided confidence to start him in net.
- Young players drove the offense, as 21-year-old Jonathan Castagna provided assists on both goals. Rookie William Stromgren scored the game-winner, while Adam Klapka added the opener, justifying coach Ryan Huska's trust in younger players.
- Praising the fourth line, Huska stated, 'Overall, I thought that line was arguably our best line tonight.' The victory improved Calgary to 7-8-0, while San Jose fell to 7-8-1.
- The Flames now visit the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026, seeking momentum. Despite an 0-5-0 start this season, Calgary has gone 6-3-0 in its previous nine contests, signaling a turnaround.
