Disney Workers, Deputy and Youth Coach Among 281 Arrested in Florida Human Trafficking Sting
Investigators identified 11 possible trafficking victims and said 17 theme-park workers were among those arrested in the weeklong undercover operation.
- On Friday, the Polk County Sheriff's Office announced a seven-day undercover operation dubbed "Polk Around and Find Out II" resulted in 281 arrests, including 31 suspected child sexual predators and two individuals charged with human trafficking.
- Investigators targeted human trafficking and child exploitation by collaborating with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and various local law enforcement agencies to identify victims and apprehend offenders who preyed on children or sought illicit sexual services.
- Among those arrested were 17 theme park employees from Disney World and Universal Studios, along with Orange County Deputy Sheriff Eric Raymond, who was arrested on Sunday on a solicitation charge.
- Authorities identified 11 human trafficking victims who received support services at the scene, while 32 suspects were found in the country illegally and 22 individuals were receiving public assistance totaling $100,476 annually.
- Sheriff Grady Judd will brief reporters Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the PCSO Sheriff's Operations Center to release arrest affidavits, booking photos, and additional investigative details from the operation.
