This takes the total count of saplings planted this year to over 400 million (40,29,36,367), including the over 50 million (50,146,441) saplings planted on World Environment Day on June 5, according to an official statement.
Under the Uttar Pradesh government's "Vriksharopan Mahayagna-2026," a target has been set to plant 35 crore saplings across the state today, July 12th.
