A recent study on climate change shows the urgent need for action in Austria. Investments are necessary to combat the consequences of global warming.

The winter of 2024/25 in the Alpine region of Austria, Germany and Switzerland is clearly too warm and too dry. According to a current assessment by Geosphere Austria, the German Weather Service and MeteoSwitzerland, the average temperature from November to April was 1.6 degrees above the comparison period 1991-2020. Above all, in deeper locations, the snow remained out in many places.
