A resident of Spotsylvania in Virginia, who was shot dead on Tuesday night, will not be charged with any crime for having shot one of his attackers with a gun, authorities reported. At 17:30, shots broke the calm of this neighborhood, alerting a resident who reacted quickly. Armed with a gun recovered from his home, he asked a family member to warn the emergency services before leaving.
