Re “Facing sticker shock from residents, San Diego council members defend trash pickup pricing plan” (Feb. 14): I am confused. Every week a trash truck comes by to take our trash to the dump. Whether the can is empty or full, the truck still comes by. It costs the same. Also, why is it less expensive to take a small trash can to the dump rather than a large one?
