3,000 public-sector workers to protest social security cuts in The Hague on Tuesday
Thousands of public-sector employees are gathering in The Hague on Tuesday to protest the Cabinet’s planned social security cuts. Unions FNV and CNV said that about 3,000 have registered so far. Participants include municipal workers, staff from the national government, and universities.
The demonstration was organized by major trade unions and brought together civil servants, health workers, educators and home care workers.
