İŞKUR (Turkish Employment Agency) has released labor market data. The number of job seekers has increased compared to the same period last year, and is now approaching 2.5 million.
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) supported the placement of more than 947,000 citizens in jobs during the first eight months of 2026. According to İŞKUR's labor market data for August 2026, the number of registered job seekers increased by 1.6 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 2,337,718.
The number of job seekers registered with ISKUR increased by 1.6 percent in August compared to the same period last year, to 2 million 337 thousand 718. Women accounted for 51.1% of registered job seekers, while the share of young people in the 15-24 age group was 24.3%.
