Everton Agree Tyrique George Transfer as Full Details of New Chelsea Deal Emerge
Everton will pay £18 million up front, with £6 million in add-ons and a 15% sell-on clause, for the 20-year-old winger.
Everton has agreed a deal to sign Chelsea winger Tyrique George for a package worth up to £25m, with the 20-year-old returning to Merseyside following a loan spell at the club last season.
George made 11 appearances last season, impressing manager David Moyes, who called him an "excellent boy with an excellent work-rate," prompting Everton to renegotiate the initial £25m option-to-buy.
The clubs agreed to an initial £17m fee with £8m in performance-based add-ons dependent on European qualification and appearances, while Chelsea included a 15% sell-on clause.
George is expected to join the squad for pre-season testing on Friday, becoming Everton's second summer arrival following the recent signing of midfielder Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough.
An England Under-21 international, George represents another academy product sold by Chelsea this summer, following winger Marc Cucurella's £47.5m transfer to Real Madrid.
