In the village of Miske in southwestern Hungary, police on Tuesday arrested 24-year-old Dávid Jakab, suspected of murdering his 22-month-old stepdaughter. The child's mother, Adrienn, reported the girl missing on Monday, and dozens of people were searching for the child. The body was found at a cross near a football field in the evening, and police announced that she had been murdered.
According to a police statement, "the necessary investigative actions are underway."
The Roma community also held a forum at the scene of the tragedy, where several people said: decisive action is needed against drugs.
