SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) – Crews are responding to a fire that broke out at a single-story home Wednesday afternoon in San Jose, according to the San Jose Fire Department (SJFD). The residence is located on the 3300 block of Gavota Avenue where the fire department received a call at 2:37 p.m. The fire spread to a neighboring house, SJFD said. Firefighters attempt to control a 3 alarm fire that occurred on Wednesday afternoon in San Jose. The incident was reported at around 2:37 p.m., on the 3300th block of Gavota Avenue, in the Hillsdale area. Authorities reported that the flames spread to an adjacent house. There were no casualties, however, a firefighter was treated for exhaustion due to heat and a dog was rescued from the main structure of the fire.
