- On Tuesday, the FBI Los Angeles Field Office and Los Angeles Police Department announced a $1 million reward for information leading to Omar Alexander Cardenas's arrest.
- Previously, authorities noted the FBI initially offered $100,000 when Cardenas joined the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list in 2022 and later raised it to $250,000 after a federal unlawful-flight warrant.
- Investigators detailed that Cardenas allegedly fired several rounds from a semi-automatic handgun on Aug. 15, 2019, killing Jabali Dumas outside Hair Icon Barber Shop, while video footage and a recovered vehicle linked to the killing were obtained.
- LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell urged people to call the FBI tip line 800-225-5324 or use tips.fbi.gov, saying 'A warrant for Cardenas' arrest remains active with full extradition'.
- Authorities describe Cardenas as 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7, 240–300 pounds with dark brown hair, brown eyes, nickname 'Dollar', suspected Pierce Street Gang member, and possibly linked to Pacoima Van Nuys Boys/Anybody Killas.
