The man wearing glasses in the centre of this photo is my father, the previous chief priest of Onden Shrine. The photo was taken when my father was in his 20s, and I believe he was still serving at another shrine at the time. A few years later, my grandfather passed away, and my father took over our shrine at the age of 30. I found this photo when my father, who had only a short time left to live, was at home at our shrine to face his final days…
