A 19-year-old man from Ashburn died Saturday following a possible drowning at Lake Blackshear.

At approximately 3:00 p.m. on August 1, 2026, Crisp County 911 received a report of a possible drowning at Lake Blackshear. Public safety officials arrived on the scene near the floating dock, where a male had jumped into the water and was not seen again.
