18-wheeler left hanging over I-10 overpass after crash near SH-99
Authorities said the crash may involve three vehicles and has shut down all eastbound lanes as investigators work to determine injuries and cause.
On Thursday, an 18-wheeler crashed on the eastbound Katy Freeway near SH-99, leaving the vehicle's cab dangling over an overpass in the Houston-area.
Harris County Fire Chief Deacon Tittel reported that Officials received a call around 11 a.m. regarding two 18-wheelers involved in the crash, with one truck breaching the freeway barrier.
Houston TranStar confirmed the crash occurred on eastbound I-10 at Lanier Parkway. Traffic cameras captured the cab partially hanging off the elevated overpass, facing oncoming traffic.
All eastbound lanes are currently shut down as HCSOTexas and other Officials work to clean up debris, causing significant delays across the Houston-area traffic corridor.
