Teen Charged in Triple Murder Outside DMV While Another Shooter Remains at Large
The teen faces three murder counts and five wanton endangerment charges as LMPD says its investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
- On Wednesday, the Louisville Metro Police Department arrested a 19-year-old in connection with a February 2025 triple homicide outside a Valley Station driver licensing office, charging the suspect with murder and wanton endangerment.
- Three people were fatally shot on February 21, 2025, at the Driver Licensing Regional Officer in Valley Station while waiting in line, including 18-year-old Leslye Harbin Jr., 33-year-old Antwanette Chillers, and 29-year-old Raysa Valdes.
- Detectives served around 50 search warrants over 17 months to build the case, using DNA evidence from a stolen vehicle and Flock cameras to identify the suspect, Skaggs said.
- LMPD believes three people opened fire during the incident; while the primary suspect is in custody, a second individual died in an unrelated incident and a third suspect remains at large.
- The investigation remains ongoing as police continue seeking the final suspect after recovering the stolen vehicle on the day of the shooting, though the dealership had not initially noticed the car was missing.
