Photos of Ljubljana earthquake come alive 130 years on

The Easter earthquake of 1895 caused extensive material damage and required a thorough renovation of the Slovenian capital.

On the occasion of today's 130th anniversary of the Ljubljana earthquake, the National University Library (NUK) has used artificial intelligence to create colorized photographs of the aftermath of the earthquake and created a video that brings the photographs to life. They used photographic and printed materials stored at the NUK, they said at a press conference today.
