11 die in Virginia in July Fourth weekend crashes

VIRGINIA, JUL 11 – Virginia troopers cited nearly 3,000 drivers for speeding and arrested 73 for impaired driving during a holiday marked by nine fatal crashes, including pedestrian and all-terrain vehicle incidents.

A road trip over the July Fourth holiday weekend proved deadly for 11 people on state roads, the Virginia State Police reported Tuesday.
