Potter County was not in the exact path of totality at that time, but came close enough to see a pretty good shadow. This photo was taken in North Dakota. South Dakota is reported to be in line for the next one, just 20 years from now, so there is plenty of time to plan for it. Gettysburg, South Dakota · GettysburgA friend near Toronto was in the path of the eclipse and told me clouds or no, he still had a great view of the event right from his balcony. The best part was hearing the gasps and cheers from the neighborhood at the moment of totality, which made for a truly amazing experience.
