EU agrees to bans imports of products that drive deforestation
The EU reached an agreement Tuesday to ban the import of several products considered the "main drivers of deforestation," including coffee, cocoa and soy, the European Commission said. France bans short-haul flights where there is alternative rail journey
French lawmakers in 2021 voted to prohibit short-haul domestic flights when there is an alternative rail connection of two and a half hours or less. The original proposal, which required the green light from Brussels, was slated to affect eight routes.
