India · IndiaPaleontologists in India have found 92 dinosaur nesting sites and 256 egg fossils. The scientists made the discovery between 2017 and 2020 in the Narmada valley in central India. The egg fossils belong to titanosaurs, which lived from Late Jurassic Epoch to the end of the Cretaceous Period.

ArchaeologistA study by the Faculty of Humanities of Freiburg University has proven that steel tools were already in use in Europe around 2900 years ago. Until recently it was assumed that it was not possible to produce suitable quality steel in the Early Iron Age and certainly not in the Final Bronze Age. The study has been published in the Journal of Archaeological Science.

ArchaeologyHuman bone and a periwinkle shell bead unearthed at Heaning Wood Bone Cave have been analysed and dated at around 11,000-years-old. Local archaeologist Martin Stables has been excavating the site since 2016 and has discovered human and animal bone, stone tools, prehistoric pottery and beads made from perforated periwinkles. UCLan team was able to prove at least eight different people were buried in the cave.
