Body Last Wednesday evening the Alpine Volunteer Fire Department held a live fi re demonstration of a chemical encapsulating compound (F-500) designed to extinguish fi res such as those of the lithium-ion batteries found in electric vehicles. This demonstration was open to the public and around 50 people were in attendance for the event.
