Zelenskyy Says Early Warning System for Russian Missile Attacks Resumes Following Call with Rubio
Zelensky said the system is working again after a call with Marco Rubio as Russian strikes killed at least 9 people in Ukraine.
On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed Kyiv is again receiving vital early warning intelligence from U.S. partners following a "substantive conversation" with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Prior to the recent call, Zelenskyy warned that a "political decision" slowed support, noting his country received no or belated warnings about Russian ballistic missiles for over a week, leaving civilians vulnerable.
Russian forces unleashed a missile and drone blitz on Tuesday, killing at least nine people, according to officials, while attacks damaged warehouses and triggered power outages across 12 Ukrainian regions.
Speaking from India, Secretary of State Rubio denied the U.S. is withholding assistance, asserting "there has not been some deliberate political directive" to harm Ukraine despite global Patriot ammunition shortages.
During meetings in Norway, Zelenskyy highlighted ongoing speed restrictions on the military-grade Starshield satellite service, while EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas questioned whether U.S. negotiators have been honest brokers.
