OpenAI's Sora Is Now Available as an Android App: Everything New Inside

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, OpenAI launched the Sora app on Google Play Store, making it available in the U.S., Canada, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam beyond iOS.
OpenAI first released Sora on iOS, where it amassed more than 1 million downloads within days and recently rescinded the waitlist for limited markets after an invite-only rollout.
One standout feature is the 'Cameos' feature, which lets users record a one-time video to create reusable likeness avatars others can use, while downloaded clips include a Sora watermark.
