Jasson Dominguez becomes youngest Yankees player with a 3-homer game
Jasson Dominguez hit three home runs, including a grand slam, on Friday night leading the Yankees to a 10-2 win at Sutter Health Park.
Dominguez, 22 years and 91 days old, became the youngest Yankees player with a three-homer game by surpassing Joe DiMaggio's 1937 record.
He started with a solo homer in the third, added another from the right side in the seventh, had a sacrifice fly in the fifth, and capped with an eighth-inning grand slam.
Dominguez totaled seven RBIs, went 3-for-3, and teammate Aaron Judge called the performance "incredible."
This breakout effort raised expectations for Dominguez’s future impact as the Yankees extended their AL East lead with a third consecutive win.
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Ever since Jasson Dominguez made his major league debut as a prized 20-year-old prospect, the Yankees have been expecting big things from him.
