WWE legend makes stunning return at AEW WrestleDream 2025
- At Chaifetz Arena on Saturday, Oct. 18, Darby Allin defeated Jon Moxley in an I Quit match to close AEW WrestleDream 2025.
- AEW President Tony Khan said Sting, wrestling icon and AEW contributor, planned his surprise return to save Allin since residency tapings in Philadelphia last month.
- The match featured weapons including steel stairs, a baseball bat and an aquarium, and Allin won by applying Sting's Scorpion Deathlock to force Moxley to quit.
- The AEW WrestleDream 2025 card featured five championship matches, with AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone winning the ROH Interim Women's World Television Championship and all other champions retaining.
- After the match, "Hangman" Adam Page, AEW World Champion, retained against Samoa Joe, former AEW World Champion, but Joe attacked him with Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Will Hobbs.
