World figure skaters land in Vernon
The four-day competition drew close to 300 skaters from 13 countries and is open to the public free of charge.

- Competitors aged 27 to 84 from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand have been performing in the North Okanagan since Wednesday's start.
- Skate Canada BC-Yukon executive director Danielle Williams stated the city was selected following a successful bid. "The feedback has been great on the venue and the city," Williams said Thursday.
- Competition continues Friday, September 18, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the event wrapping up Saturday as skaters perform from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Throughout the four-day schedule, athletes from the Golden Edge Skating Academy and Montreal Silver Blades have showcased technical routines like the Solo Ice Dance and Bronze Dance Free.
