Work has begun in a part of Weybridge to return a community pond to its former glory.

Summary by radiojackie.com
Elmbridge Borough Council says the pond in Brooklands community park has, over time, expanded into a wet woodland environment. Excess vegetation is being cleared and treated with herbicide and silt will be scraped to restore the pond’s primary function as a reservoir. Visitors are being warned that the use of machinery may cause temporary restricted access to parts of the park over the next 8 weeks.
