- At his July 2025 plea hearing, Merced admitted to using three minors to create sexually explicit videos and possessing hundreds of photos and videos of child sex abuse material, pleading guilty to three counts of sexual exploitation and one count of possession.
- The 30-year federal sentence will run consecutive to Merced's existing 25 to 30 year state prison term following his February 2026 guilty plea in Worcester Superior Court to ten counts of child rape and related offenses.
- Merced will serve both sentences concurrently, meaning his federal term runs simultaneously with his state sentence, and he faces lifetime supervised release upon eventual release from prison.
