Women vie for Westmount mayoralty

Two women are now in the race for the mayoralty of Westmount, the election to be held on the same day as most of Quebec’s town elections, November 2. The current mayor – also a woman – is not running again. The hot potato in Westmount is whether development will be allowed in the southeast corner of the city, specifically dense high rise towers alongside and around Atwater Library. Mary Gallery is against, Lynne Casgrain is for.
