Woman Suffers Brutal Attack During Solo Protest on Texas Overpass
The victim suffered nose fractures and a concussion after an unprovoked attack, and police arrested Christina Michelle Hiller, 40, authorities said.
On Sunday, 69-year-old Patty Anderson was assaulted on a Montgomery County overpass near Loop 336 and I-45, leading to the arrest of Christina Michelle Hiller.
Anderson said Hiller approached her unprovoked, showing interest in her Bluetooth speaker before the confrontation escalated; Dickinson authorities described Hiller as homeless with known mental health issues.
The victim suffered nose fractures and a concussion after being knocked to the ground, describing the attack as relentless: "I've never been hit in the face like that," Anderson said.
A Conroe officer intervened and pulled Hiller away, potentially saving Anderson's life; she said, "The one officer that jumped that barrier... I want to give him a hug."
Hiller now faces a charge of injury to the elderly with serious bodily harm, while Anderson remains in the process of healing and feels normal inside despite visible facial injuries.
