Woman Gives Birth on Delta Flight Before Emergency Landing in Oregon

- Passenger Jess Cushenberry, traveling with her daughter Taylor, offered a blanket to the crew as radio traffic confirmed, "Engine 80 and Rescue 82; Update from ground, the baby has been delivered on the aircraft."
- Emergency responders met the aircraft at Portland International Airport, where Portland Communications Manager Kara Hansen confirmed, "They found everyone in stable condition upon arrival."
- Delta stated, "We extend our sincere thanks to the crew and medical volunteers on board who stepped in to provide care," noting that flight crews receive extensive training for in-flight medical emergencies.
