- Her brother, Rishikesh Pawar, claimed he entered the flat through the rear balcony and found Payal hanging after her husband and in-laws appeared unbothered when questioned; he said this occurred within five minutes of his arrival on Monday morning.
- Swargate police Senior Inspector Yashwant Nikam confirmed an offence was registered for alleged abetment of suicide against Payal's mother-in-law, father-in-law, and husband. Two police teams have been formed to trace other accused individuals.
- Authorities continue recording statements from Payal's maternal relatives as investigations proceed. Police are also probing allegations that she quarrelled with her mother-in-law on Sunday before leaving home the previous night.
