Woman divorced as triple talaq pronounced over phone in Malappuram; family alleges gold not returned

A young woman, who was married two years ago, was reportedly informed by her husband, Veerankutty from Kondotty, that their relationship was over through a phone call. It is also alleged that 30 sovereigns of gold ornaments given by the woman’s family were not returned. The ornaments were reportedly kept by Veerankutty’s mother.
