A child was struck by a car and injured Monday at Lake Waccamaw in the second such incident in less than 24 hours. Elizabeth Ann Respess, 43, of 4019 Waccamaw Shores Rd., Lake Waccamaw, was held under $200,000 secured bond, charges with felony hit and run and driving left of center, according to detention center reports.
