PHOENIX, ARIZONA, JUL 11 – Phoenix police continue searching for the driver who fled after fatally striking a woman and her dog near 51st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road, officials said.
- In the early hours of July 11, two hit-and-run incidents occurred close to the intersection of 51st Avenue and Elwood Street in Phoenix, resulting in the deaths of 29-year-old Brittany Geib and her dog.
- The incidents occurred when a Toyota Tacoma and a second vehicle, possibly a Toyota Camry, struck Geib and her dog and fled southbound.
- Geib ran into the street to check on her dog before being hit, and both were pronounced dead at the scene; 51st Avenue was temporarily closed for investigation.
