Tornado Emergency Unfolding In Southern Wisconsin
WISCONSIN, JUL 16 – At least five tornadoes confirmed with damaging winds over 60 mph and heavy rain causing flooding threats, prompting widespread warnings and emergency responses, National Weather Service said.
- Tuesday evening, the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Iron, Ashland and Price counties until 8:30 p.m.
- A compact area of low pressure prompted scattered rotating thunderstorms, which helped develop severe storms across southern Wisconsin Wednesday afternoon.

- The National Weather Service in Duluth reported a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado near Butternut at 7:39 p.m., tracking east at 50 mph, with tornado warnings remaining in effect until 8:30 p.m.
