Winter weather advisory for 3 N.J. counties until Sunday afternoon – could see 4 inches of snow
At 2:27 a.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory valid from 10 p.m. until Sunday 1 p.m. for Passaic, Bergen and Essex counties.The weather service says to expect, “Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches.”

On Friday at 2 a.m. a winter storm watch was released by the National Weather Service valid from Saturday 7 a.m. until Monday 1 a.m. for Northern Erie.The weather service describes, "Heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 inches or more possible in the most persistent snow. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph and produce blowing and drifting snow."

On Friday at 4:18 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated winter storm watch valid from Saturday 7 a.m. until Monday 1 a.m. for Southern Erie as well as Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.The weather service describes, "Heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 7 inches or more possible in the most persistent lake snows. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph, producing blowing and drifting snow."
