Statehood of J&K to Be Restored at Appropriate Time: Shah

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, Union Home Minister Amit Shah promised restoration of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir at an appropriate time during a media conclave organised by ABP News and Hindustan.

Shah said the government is in talks with the committees of Leh and Kargil, urging patience and promising a good resolution, while the court will decide Sonam Wangchuk's case based on evidence.
