Prien as the first Jewish Federal Minister: "Finally one of us"

Karin Prien is the first Federal Minister with Jewish roots. The Jewish community in Flensburg places great hopes in the CDU politician - at a time when the number of anti-Semitic incidents in SH reaches a new peak and the Kippa is no longer publicly supported.

The new Minister of Education and Family Affairs Karin Prien is acting as a hot candidate for the successor of Frank-Walter Steinmeier in 2027. She would be the first Federal President in Germany's history.
