Goodrem 'Grateful' Ahead of Strictly Return From Injury
Strictly officials cleared the Australian singer to dance again after a fractured rib forced her out of last week’s show.
Australian singer Delta Goodrem will return to Strictly Come Dancing tonight, Saturday, October 24, after missing last week due to a fractured rib injury. She is partnered with professional dancer Kai Widdrington.
Doctors ordered Goodrem to rest after she sustained the fractured rib, forcing her to miss week four of competition. Strictly rules allow contestants one free pass before they must withdraw from the competition.
Sharing her recovery journey on Instagram, Goodrem explained she is taking steps "very gently." She said: "I'm very, very grateful to be back" as she prepared for tonight's performance.
Goodrem and Widdrington will perform a Rumba to Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" tonight. The show airs at 6:30 p.m. on BBC One and iPlayer.
Week five of the series sees all 12 remaining contestants return to the ballroom floor. The couples compete tonight hoping to impress judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood.
