- "In northeastern BC, smoke from fires farther north continues to move towards the Fort Nelson area," the agency warned; conditions vary considerably hour to hour across impacted regions including Ashcroft, Merritt, and the West Kootenays.
- Residents should protect indoor air by keeping windows closed and using a NIOSH-certified N95 respirator if outside, while vulnerable groups should reduce strenuous outdoor activity and monitor symptoms.
